The Great Wall movie review: This is the worst film of Matt Damon, Zhang Yimou's careers
Director
Zhang Yimou
Zhang Yimou
Great Wall is a seamless film. On the one hand it is a great test. China a few years to become the world's biggest movie industry with the set, it was inevitable that Hollywood would somehow in that direction. A film directed by Zhang Yimou Matt friend by casting it looked to be a step in the right direction. In contrast, the blockbuster talent you do not want to expect from these two powerhouses - neither having a heart can not accept the way things are breaking VFX - the Great Wall of their respective careers on popcorn actually enjoy bad movies.
The story is quite simple. William, an Irish soldier (Damon) and a Spanish compatriot Tovar (Pedro Pascal), the Great Wall of China to arrive only by mythical creatures called Taotie are affected. Having returned to China from the animal kingdom to protect white men and Chinese military officials to cooperate with the organizing different modes of attack.......
I suspect this is what the film is a home production, it Manisha Koirala. That's what the film actor has his home run. Chinese talent does not have to hire a lot ahead. Tian Jing Chinese commander who is playing the most screen time, but the expression on his face-free. Everyone looks terrible and vaguely reluctant - they were designed for mentally dinner. Especially in the climax - sweeping panoramic shots you can see and touch Yimou in an explosion of color. But the rest of the Great Wall and a half-hearted attempt to meet the world's two largest movie market feels like. Neither film has finished serving. I'm going with the Stars.
